Painting commercially since 1985, Heather has sold her paintings throughout
Australia and overseas.
Heather is influenced by the natural environment and has a particular
passion for Australian wildlife.
Her choice of mixed media includes watercolor, gouache, inks, acrylics
and pastels. The pictures are lively and vibrant.
Largely the painting style has evolved through self experimentation.

Heather believes life experiences
and personal experiences influence the way in which you see things,
and since living at Maleny, she has found paradise in her own back
yard, living on the family dairy with husband David and two children.
In recent years, Heather has worked closely with Maleny author and
publisher, Jill Morris. This involved the illustration of five of
Jill’s stories.
Heather is constantly updating her knowledge through personal and
professional development by attending various workshops such as Art
Therapy and the McGregor Schools. She also has experience in tutoring
adults in children’s book illustration and various painting
techniques and mediums.
Working regularly with school groups both at Book Farm with Jill Morris
and also in schools as an invited tutor, Heather was recently a presenter
at the Youth Literacy Festival, Voices on the Coast held at the Sunshine
Coast University.
Heather is currently in progress preparing for an exhibition of her
most recent artworks which are painted from the subconscious, stimulated
by music and language.
